  • What is a Screw Pile?

Screwpiles, sometimes referred to as screw piles and also called Helical piles, are a steel screw-in piling and ground anchoring system used for building deep foundations. Screwpiles are manufactured using varying sizes of tubular hollow sections for the pile or anchors shaft. The pile shaft transfers a structure's load into the pile. Helical steel plates are welded to the pile shaft in accordance with the intended ground conditions
  • Screwpiles are wound into the ground much like a screw into wood. Screwpiles are installed using various earthmoving equipment fitted with rotary hydraulic attachments. Rotary hydraulic powerheads with torque capacities ranging from 5,000Nm to 500,000Nm are custom fitted using various boom configurations. Special drive attachments connect the screwpile to the machine.

  • The main benefits of screwpile foundations include: shorter project times, ease of installation, ease of access, reduction of the carbon footprint, ease of removal when the foundations are no longer required, reduced risk to the workforce, and reduced costs.

  • The GoliathTech product is the only FULLY galvanized product from top to bottom including the leveling head. The bolts on our leveling head are fully galvanized also. Plating will only last a limited time where as galvanizing will last 30 year plus.

  • This certifies our customers that our product is always made the same way and that there is no possibility of making errors. ISO 9001:2008 is also a continuous improvement program. Our ISO system accomplishes full product tracibility right back to the mill reports. Goliathtech is the only screw pile company that offers piles with engraved lot numbers to allow for traceability of our product. We know exactly what pile comes from what lot even once it is put in the ground.

  • Our product is fully galvanized preventing the possibility of rust. We also include at no extra charge our customer a polyurethane insulation protecting our piles from damage caused by frost.
